Restaurant Tevere

Tevere is great!

I invited discerning friends to Tevere's and they and I were not disappointed. The soup - corn and beans - was superb - I tried to get the recipe from the owner - no luck! The salads were fresh and tasty. We had the veal, pasta and fish. All were consumed with relish and enjoyed! The deserts were an apple dish and a creme brulee - all were tasty and completed the meal delightfully. We ended with coffee - mine was a cappacino! All in all a lovely evening and Tevere's right now is NOT - I repeat NOT - the restaurant of 8 months ago. Go,you will enjoy!

I have dined there many times through out the years and just recently went back to find a newly renovated restaurant... Much needed may I add. We ordered a variety of items to try the new stuff on the menu and loved every one!!! The pasta dishes are very tasty and home made, the pizza was very light and the mussels were awesome. the desserts are to die for. We had both the tiramisu and chocolate mousse! The service is excellent as well. Very friendly and polit staff! We have been back twice since and highly recommend it!! The prices are affordable and you can bring your own wine!

We used to frequent this family style restaurant, mostly for pizza, rather often. I hadn't been in quite a while though and was surprised to find it completely redone inside. Its now like a trendy bistro rather than the homey resto I used to enjoy. The worst part is that they've changed the menu. I ordered pizza anyway (the server assured me it was the same) although they serve only 11 inch individual pizzas in the restaurant now (you can order other sizes for pickup). Both mine and my boyfriends pizza came burned. I sent mine back and the new one was STILL burned. I couldn't eat it. The server was very nice though. Its not her fault the restaurant has changed for the worse. They have skimped on the ingredients as well and their sauce is now very acidic. Not at ALL like the old Tavere. It was practically inedible. Oh well, will have to find a new pizza place...but very disappointed. No where near the same quality.
